Here it is! The first project is finally completed. This particular beat has some techno in it and it has a kind of macarana twang to it. I fooled around with the volume of the volume of the "kick" in a couple patterns. In one pattern in particular I had a crescendo throughout the whole pattern in one part. Have a listen!

I like the groove. It does remind me of the Macarena as you mention in your description. I also like that you went ahead and put in a melodic fragment, and a solid ending.
Be careful of your final mix however, I though the kick drum and some of the melody parts were a little loud relative to the overall mix, so consider the balance of all the parts as you mix down.
Great first project.
I liked this a lot. I thought that the ways you used different instruments than you would usually hear was cool. I do agree with Mr. Rabuse about the end, but other than that it was awesome.
